It’s that time of the week once more, Xur day! Every Friday in Destiny 2, Xur appears at a random location, resulting in players asking where they can find him along with an update on the Exotics he’s selling. Xur’s inventory refreshes each week, so if you were unable to find anything to buy last week, it’s worth checking in with Xur again this week.
Additionally, because Xur’s location changes every week, finding him can be something of a hassle. To make the process easier, we’ve put together a guide explaining where to find Xur in Destiny 2 and all of the Exotic items he has available for purchase during the week of May 1, 2020!
Where to find Xur in Destiny 2 - May 1, 2020

Starting on Friday each week, Xur appears in Destiny 2 at a random location and sells Exotic goods in exchange for Legendary Shards. To find him, you’ll want to run through the locations where Xur spawns. Doing this can be a real pain though, so guides like this one can help by pinpointing exactly where to find Xur, no excess travel required.
Keep in mind that if you search for Xur before his spawn time of 10:00 a.m. (PST), 1:00 p.m. (EST), and 6:00 p.m. (BST), you may miss Xur, so try to avoid visiting his spawn locations before that time. When Xur appears in Destiny 2, he stays put in the same spot for a few days and will sell Exotic armor pieces and a random Exotic weapon.
If you want to buy something from Xur, you have until Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. (PST), 1:00 p.m. (EST), and 6:00 p.m. (BST) to do so. After Tuesday, you’ll need to wait until the following Friday to buy Exotic items from Xur again. During the week of May 1, Xur can be found on Titan in The Rig area.
To reach Xur, you’ll need to spawn in on Titan, then head over towards the Landing Zone section of The Rig. Make your way over to the edge of the platform and look for a square building. From May 1 until May 5, you’ll be able to find Xur at the location outlined above. To browse Xur’s updated inventory of Exotic items, all you need to do is speak with him. Because Xur’s inventory refreshes every week you can always save your Legendary Shards and check back with Xur the following week if you don’t see anything worth purchasing.
In addition to Exotic armor for Titans, Warlocks, and Hunters, you’re able to purchase one Exotic weapon from Xur each week as well as a Fated Engram. This week in Destiny 2, Xur has a Monte Carlo up for grabs which is pretty popular, especially among auto rifle fans. It’s been a while since we’ve seen it available in Xur’s inventory, so if you don’t have one already, it may be worth spending the 29 Legendary Shards to add it to your inventory.
Meanwhile, Xur also has some noteworthy Exotic armor pieces, two of which (Khepri’s Sting, Severance Enclosure) we also haven’t seen in quite some time. Overall, Xur’s inventory this week is pretty solid, making it worth taking a trip over to The Rig to spend some of your Legendary Shards.
