To catch sweetfish, you’ll need to grab a rod and head to the rivers of your island between the months of July and September in the northern hemisphere, or from January to March in the southern hemisphere. Here are the key details about the fish, including where and when you can catch it, as well as how much it’s worth:

To track down and catch a sweetfish in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you need to head up and down the lengths of your island’s rivers. They can be caught at any time of day, all you need to do is look for a medium-small size of shadow. That’s smaller than the pesky likes of the Black Bass, roughly equivalent in size to the Zebra-Turkeyfish or Squid from the ocean. See anything that fits the bill? Cast your fishing rod line in front of it and wait for the bite that pulls underwater.
