You can now win cash prizes in Tetris Mobile

New modes like Primetime give gamers a chance to win real money in Tetris Mobile.

A wealth of exciting announcements were made today by N3twork, the developer of Tetris Mobile. When the game first released on Android and iOS devices, you could only play a single-player mode. Moving forward, you’ll be able to enjoy new modes in Tetris Moble and compete against others for a chance to win cash prizes!

Tetris Mobile is getting a host of major updates, most notably the addition of a Primetime event where you can win real money. That’s right, not only is Tetris Mobile a fun way to pass the time, you can also get paid. A Primetime event will occur in Tetris Mobile every night around 7:30 p.m. (depending on where you’re located) and is completely free, no entry fees required!

If you think you have what it takes to be top dog in Tetris Mobile, we highly recommend checking out one of these Primetime events. If live events aren’t really your thing, you’ll be happy to hear that N3twork added a Tetris 99-style multiplayer arena to Tetris Mobile called Tetris Royale.

With Tetris Royale, you can compete against 100 other players to see if you can be the last player standing. Want something a little more intimate? Tetris Mobile has a new mode called Tetris Together where you can do a little 1v1 against family and friends with in-game voice chat support.

It’s nice to hear in-game voice chat will be supported as COVID has a lot of us holed up in our home looking for ways to have fun with people we can no longer see on a regular basis. Now, we can battle them in Tetris while talking about how our day was. It sounds really fun honestly.

Tetris Mobile will also continue to support Marathon Mode so if you’re looking to unwind on your own, you can play solo and try and beat your previous high score. The game has a leaderboard so you’ll be able to easily track your Marathon performance. As a whole, Tetris Mobile is shaping up to be a fantastic way to enjoy Tetris on your phone.

In the future, we hope to see quality-of-life updates added to the game like bluetooth controller support as it can be a little tricky to adapt to the swipe mechanics versus playing with a controller in Tetris 99 or your keyboard with the Tetris.com version of Tetris that’s available.

Still, the thought of winning money by playing Tetris is extremely enticing, especially seeing as how the Primetime events are free-to-play. There’s nothing to lose except the game itself, but even if you lose one night, you can try your hand at another Primetime event the following night.

After hearing about the updates to Tetris Mobile, we’re eager to hear your thoughts. Are you looking forward to the ability to win money with Primetime events? Are you planning to fight in the Tetris Royale multiplayer arena? Let us know down in the comments below!
