To get the King Tut Mask in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you need to hit rocks until a Gold Nugget pops out. At this point your character will exclaim that they’ve come up with a new recipe, unlocking the King Tut Mask Recipe.

If, like us, you went a bit overboard with rock smacking in the early days of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you may be sitting on a pile of coal and nuggets. Well you can leave your island’s stone unmolested no longer, because the only way to get this recipe is with some goold old rock beating. Grab a shovel or axe and whack away. Don’t forget to box yourself in with holes so you can get the most out of each rock.

There aren’t many rocks on your island, and each can only be used once a day. Bear in mind that you can go on Island Tours using Nook Miles Tickets to find more rocks.

Once you get the King Tut Mask in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, here’s what you’ll need to craft the mask:

  • Gold Nugget x5

That’s it! Save up five Gold Nuggets and you’ll be able to craft yourself a King Tut Mask. However, you may not want to wear it for long. You see, the King Tut Mask is somewhat cursed, and will cause your character to trip over constantly whenever you run around. It’s hilarious, but also a pain.
