Valorant update 1.05 patch notes

The 1.05 update has arrived for Valorant today, adding plenty of new content to the game. The notes themself are pretty slim, but you’ll still want to read through them to understand some important changes in the game. We’ve included the full Valorant update 1.05 patch notes below, but will give you a very brief summary of the key points first.

The biggest addition in Valorant 1.05 is Killjoy, a brand new agent with turrets and traps. You can read all about her abilities by clicking here. Raze has also received a slight nerf to her ultimate, though if you’re reading this right after the Valorant 1.05 patch drops, she won’t even be in the game. Deathmatch mode is the other big addition, giving you the perfect place to warm up. Finally, Season 2 has kicked off, and brings with it new changes to competitive ranks. Riot has an extensive post detailing the changes, but you’ll need to play at least three games to get your rank back.

And with that, here are the Valorant update 1.05 patch notes in full for you to read through:

Killjoy

Killjoy has been added to the game.

Raze

Showstopper

With the lethality of Raze’s Showstopper, we wanted to make some changes that will provide enemies more time to plan and acquire Raze when hearing “Fire in the Hole!” Additionally, we have adjusted her VFX so that players are able to notice Raze as she fires, increasing their ability to shoot a Raze that takes riskier plays.

Blast Pack

Raze’s Blast Pack has been hitting players a bit too hard, able to kill a fully armored enemy in certain situations. We want to reduce this ability’s efficacy at damaging players while sharpening its ability at clearing enemy utility and obstacles.
