If you’re a PlayStation 4 owner, you’re in luck as you’ll get a one-week head start with the Open Beta starting on October 8 for PS4, and then opening up to Xbox One and PC players on October 15.

To get early access into the Open Beta, you’ll need to pre-order Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. All digital editions of the game will include early access to the Open Beta.

If you’d rather wait, the Open Beta becomes available to everyone across all platforms starting on October 17 and ending on October 19 as noted by Activision. On the Activision blog, the Open Beta for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is described as follows:

“As announced during the Multiplayer Reveal and detailed earlier in this blog, the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Open Beta begins with an early access period on October 8th for PS4 players and October 15th for Xbox and PC players. The beta opens for all platforms on October 17th, where players can experience Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War before launch on November 13th.”

Activision also mentioned that Weekend Two of the Open Beta from October 17 to October 19 will include crossplay.

PlayStation 4 owners who pre-order will get the most time with the Open Beta for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War as they can jump in on October 8, and continue playing until October 19 when the Open Beta closes ahead of the game’s November launch.

Again, if you want early access you’ll need to pre-order a digital copy of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. If you don’t want to pre-order, you can get some time in with the game from October 17 to October 19.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is scheduled to release on November 13 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC (via Battle.net).
