If you want to get a Halloween hat in Among Us, you have two options. The first, and simpler method, is to wait until October. The hats are made available for free in October (it is the month of spooks after all), so when your clock ticks over, you’ll find them in the usual customization menus.
The second, cheekier option, is the change the date of your PC or mobile device so that the game thinks you’re playing in October. Assuming you’re a PC player, you’ll want to open your time and date settings. Disable “Set time automatically,” click the Change button and then adjust your date to a later date in October, 2020. This will unlock the options in game.
Next, load up a game, and join or host a server. Head over to the laptop when in the lobby and click that Customize button. You should see the hats available, and if you do start a game then you’ll see the map decorated with Halloween items. If you don't see the changes, close the game and restart it. Sometimes it takes a few launches for the game to recognise the date.
