To upgrade characters and weapons in Genshin Impact, you'll need certain items that can be farmed from Taishan Mansion. Our guide will help you find and open it!
How to access Taishan Mansion in Genshin Impact
Taishan Mansion is one of Genshin Impact's Abyssal Domains. Unfortunately, you can not just walk into it easy breezy. For Taishan Mansion to even appear on your map, you will need to get your Adventure Rank up to level 26. Once you have gotten this far, Taishan Mansion will appear on your map near Jueyen Karst.
The doorway to Taishan Mansion will be underwater when you first arrive. To gain access to it, you will need to lower the water level. To do that, you will need to solve one of the game's many environmental puzzles.
First, go to the monolith located to the northeast of the lake where you found the door. The monolith will be locked and there will be some enemies you will need to take care of. After you kill every wave of enemies, a chest will appear. You can loot this and you will be able to interact with the monolith, which will lower the water level a little bit and reveal a central platform in the lake. On that platform will be some stone lanterns and another locked monolith.
Next, head down to the lake's edge and look around for some glowing Geo crystals. Smash the crystals with your sword and a tiny globe of light will emerge. Your job is to get these little light orbs over to the lanterns on the central platform. If you take too long, the orbs will fade and you'll have to start over, but luckily it doesn't take too long for the Geo crystals to respawn. Once all three lanterns have been lit, another chet will appear near the door to Taishan Mansion and you'll be able to interact with the second monolith to lower the water once again. Now you're free to enter Taishan Mansion.
