How to get Xiangling in Genshin Impact

You can get Xiangling for free, here's how.

Genshin Impact is an open-world RPG with gacha elements, which means weapons and characters are "pulled" from the system, kind of like a capsule toy machine. This system largely relies upon players using in-game currency to purchase these pulls, which can be bought with real life money. Luckily some of Genshin Impact's characters can be gotten for free. One of these characters is Xiangling. Here's how to add her to your team in Genshin Impact.

In the lore of Genshin Impact, Xiangling is the head chef of the Wanmin Restaurant, working alongside her father Chef Mao. She specializes in hot and spicy dishes, and loves to experiment with different ingredients. Despite her young age she is quite skilled in the kitchen, and can rival veteran chefs. She has quite the reputation amongst the community.

Xiangling is a Pyro-user and Support character. While she's not the best the game has to offer in either category, she's solid in both areas which is a blessing unto itself since you can get her for free if you invest enough time. Plus, she can summon a giant, fire breathing panda so what's not to love?

To get Xiangling without spending any real-life money in the gacha cycle, you will need to get your Adventure Rank all the way up to 20 first. Once you do this, the Spiral Abyss dungeon will unlock. This dungeon contains multiple progressively harder floors you can take on to collect various rewards. On Floor 3, Chamber 3 Xiangling will be one of these rewards.

There is also a 2.2% chance to pull her from the permanent Wanderlust Invocation banner. This banner also includes 13 other 4-star characters and five 5-star characters.
