Of course, the most important thing in any fighter is deciding who you’re planning to main, so we’ve rounded up the initial Guilty Gear Strive characters revealed so far for you below so that you know the entire roster when the game launches.

We’ve listed the full Guilty Gear Strive character roster below, and below that you’ll find a brief bit of information on each to help you plan your favorite before you get your hands on the game. Guilty Gear Strive will launch with 15 characters, and so far 14 have been shown off. Here are all confirmed characters in Guilty Gear Strive so far:

Anji Mito

Official description: An elegant martial artist who dodges all with his dance.

Style: Balance

Difficulty: 3/5

A balanced fighter, Anji is one of the last surviving Japanese people in the Guilty Gear universe. Anji fights with twin fans in a dance-like motion.

Axl Low

Official description: A long range attacker who can take opponents down at a distance.

Style: Long range

Difficulty: 3/5

Wielding chain-linked blades, Axl might look mean, but he’s a compassionate soul always looking to help others. During fights, Axl can strike opponents across the screen with single and twin strikes.

Chipp Zanuff

Official description: An incredibly fast ninja who launches attacks in the blink of an eye.

Style: High Speed

Difficulty: 3/5

President of the Eastern Chipp Kingdom (yes, really), Chipp Zanuff teleports across the stage, sprints up walls, and summons clones in a lightning fast flurry of strikes

Faust

Official description: A bizarre underground doctor who misleads the opponent with tricky moves.

Style: Unique

Difficulty: 4/5

Despite the sinister design, Faust is described as a “caring and kind person” at heart. In fights, however, he makes use of a range of medical tools and unseemly powers to outperform his enemy.

Giovanna

Official description: Incredible rush-down that can break down any defense. A super-powered special forces officer for the President.

Style: Rush

Difficulty: 2/5

As protector of the president of the United States, Giovanna aims to take down her enemies as quickly as possible. Her spirit wolf Rei allows her to unleash strikes with her feet at unprecedented pace.

I-No

Official description: A hard rock witch with a wild offense using her hover dash.

Style: Rush

Difficulty: 3/5

Though she comes across as quite personable, I-No considers all others lesser beings, and isn't afraid to show it on the battlefield with a flurry of kicks, guitar swings, and the occaisional spell cast from her stylish hat. 

Ky Kiske

Official description: A classic all-rounder with excellent moves.

Style: Balance

Difficulty: 1/5

With a strong sense of Justice, Ky is a king who aims to help those less fortunate than himself. Ky mixes kicks with powerful sword strikes to overcome his foes.

Leo Whitefang

Official description: An all-rounder who wields twin swords, turning his back to his opponent as he fights.

Style: Balance

Difficulty: 3/5

With large blades attached to each arm, Leo fights in an unusual style which sees him face away from his opponent at times. That shouldn’t fool anyone as to the defensive capabilities of this king, however.

May

Official description: A powerful attacker who specializes in charging at the opponent.

Style: Balance

Difficulty: 2/5

Wielding an anchor larger than she is, May deals heavy strikes while interrupting her foe through summoned creatures like whales and dolphins.

Millia Rage

Official description: A wielder of the forbidden art that turns her hair into a weapon – blink and you'll miss her swift movements.

Style: High Speed

Difficulty: 4/5

A cold mannered warrior who can turn her hair into a deadly weapon. Milia can unleash combos which build off a short range projectile.

Nagoriyuki

Official description: A noble vampire samurai whose vampiric blade delivers devastating blows.

Style: One Shot

Difficulty: 4/5

Nagoriyuki’s blade can drain life from his foes. Complemented by lightning-fast burst of motion, he’s a phenomenally dangerous foe to face. 

Potemkin

Official description: A giant walking fortress who can turn the match around with his powerful grabs.

Style: Power Throw (Grappler)

Difficulty: 3/5

An enormous fortress of a man, Potemkin aims to grab, throw, and pummel his foes into submission. Keeping him from getting close won’t be easy, however.

Ramlethal Valentine

Official description: A Brigadier who controls the mid-range with her two swords.

Style: Shooting

Difficulty: 3/5

Created in the image of a human, Valentine was a being designed to wage war against humanity. Her twin swords are controlled telekinetically, allowing her to unleash damage at a distance.

Sol Badguy

Official description: An aggressive striker who beats the the opponent down with style.

Style: Balance

Difficulty: 2/5

The entertainingly named lead of Guilty Gear is short tempered and to the point. His attacks mix brawling punches and kicks with meaty strikes from the weapon strapped to his back.

Zato-1

Official description: A technical shadow wielder who can pressure his opponent with simultaneous attacks.

Style: Technical

Difficulty: 5/5

Host of the Forbidden Beast Eddie, Zato-1 unleashes darkness on his enemies by summoning shadow creatures to block attacks or engulf his foes.

Those are all the Guilty Gear Strive characters confirmed so far, but there’s one more to be shown before the launch roster is complete.
