This Nike x PlayStation PG 5 sneaker collab looks to step up your game

The PG 5 PlayStation 5 Colorway sneakers were made for success on the court and the couch.

PlayStation has teamed up with Nike Basketball and NBA All-Star Paul George to create a new sneaker collab that’s certain to sell out faster than the PS5.

The LA Clippers player revealed the sneaker collab in a blog post on the PlayStation website, detailing his passion for sneaker design and the ideas behind this latest partnership. George worked in partnership with PlayStation designers including Yujin Morisawa, Sony’s senior art director and the principal man behind the look of the PlayStation 5 console.

The PG 5 Colorways features a crisp white look, with Black lacing and collaring along with blue soles and details. The PlayStation logo and Paul George’s signature appear in blue on the tongues of each shoe, with the Nike logo similarly colored on the rear of each sneaker. The PS5 logo also appears low, close to the base of the design. A closer inspection will also reveal the classic PlayStation shapes of Cross, Triangle, Circle, and Square, hidden in fine details similar to the design of the PS5 itself. Check them out in the announce video below.

“Creating sneaker collaborations with PlayStation and Nike Basketball has been one of my favorite pastimes in recent years, and I’m so thankful to this community for supporting me and sharing in my passion,” George wrote in the blog post. “Like many of you, I’ve been a die-hard PlayStation fan all my life, so it’s an honor to introduce my newest creative project with my favorite brands: the PG 5 PlayStation 5 colorway.”

The PG 5 PlayStation Colorway sneakers will go on sale in select regions on May 14, 2021. We expect them to sell out extremely quickly, so you’ll want to move quickly to check the Nike website for your area if you’re interested in securing a comfy pair for your feet this summer.
