Tom Clancy's XDefiant beta: How to register

Tom Clancy’s XDefiant is a new cross-universe shooter which brings together factions from The Division, Splinter Cell, and Ghost Recon. It’s coming to PC and consoles when ready, but you can dive in early by registering for the XDefiant closed beta. Below, we’ll explain how to sign up for the XDefiant beta on all platforms.

XDefiant beta time and date

The first XDefiant beta will take place August 5, and is only available for PC players in the US and Canada. Further tests are planned, though Ubisoft has yet to reveal when they’ll take place.

How to register for the XDefiant beta

As stated above, the first XDefiant beta is available on PC only in the US and Canada. So if you want to take part in the very first opportunity to test the game, be sure to select PC as your platform of choice.

If you’re invited, you’ll receive an email notification and be able to download the game through the Ubisoft Connect client.

What if I’m not in the US or Canada?

Ubisoft promises that more XDefiant betas are planned, but not until after the initial August 5 test. You can still register and you’ll be contacted via email as soon as you’re invited to a test in your region.

How to play the XDefiant beta with friends

As with many other Ubisoft early tests, the XDefiant beta will allow you to invite friends to join you. Any accepted players will be able to send invites to five friends on their Ubisoft Connect account.

That’s all we know about how to join the XDefiant closed beta. US and Canada fans can enjoy an early test, but be sure to register elsewhere for your first shot at and in the game.
