WarioWare: Get It Together - all characters

WarioWare: Get It Together finally brings microgame madness back to our screens, but this time there’s a twist: Each member of Wario’s wacky cohort has their own control system. To take on challenges you’ll need to build teams by picking from the WarioWare: Get It Together characters. To help you make up your mind (and know how many you’ll unlock in the story), we’ve put together a list of all characters in WarioWare: Get It Together below, detailing their unique control system.

All characters in WarioWare: Get It Together

There are 18 characters in WarioWare: Get It Together. You’ll unlock each of them by playing through the game’s main story. Here’s every character in the order you’ll unlock them in the story.

Each characters also has a unique control system which you’ll have only a few seconds to remember before you’re thrust into a minigame. We’ve listed each character’s mechanics below as an easy checklist.

• Wario
• Flies in all directions.
• Input: Shoulder charge horizontally.
• Young Cricket
• Runs along the ground.
• Input: Jump. Hold to jump higher.
• 18-Volt
• Cannot move normally, aims using the analog stick.
• Input: Fires discs from his head. Can latch onto rings.
• Mona
• Flies in all directions. Constantly moving.
• Input: Fire a remote-controlled boomerang, pausing Mona in place.
• Dribble & Spitz
• Always a pairing (player 1 is Dribble, player 2 is Spitz).
• Fly in all directions but Dribble only faces right, Spitz only faces left.
• Input: Fire a shot horizontally.
• Dr. Crygor
• Swims (flies?) in all directions.
• Input: Hold to swim through the air.
• 9-Volt
• Constantly skates left or right.
• Input: Fire yo-yo upwards, pausing 9-Volt in place.
• Mike
• Flies in all direction
• Input: Fire a note upwards.
• Kat & Ana
• Always a pairing (player 1 is Kat, player 2 is Ana).
• Jump non stop. Kat always faces right, Ana always faces left.
• Input: Fire a shuriken horizontally.
• Jimmy T
• Use the analog stick to aim Jimmy T’s hand.
• Input: Attack (boogie?) in the aimed direction.
• Ashley
• Flies in all directions.
• Input: Fire a spell in the direction Ashley is facing.
• Orbulon
• Flies in all directions.
• Input: Sucks up items below him using his beam.
• 5-Volt
• Move 5-Volt’s spirit freely.
• Input: Warp to the spirit’s position, emitting a shock.
• Red
• Flies freely in all directions.
• Input: Drop a bomb which explodes on impact.
• Master Mantis
• Runs along the ground.
• Input: Jump. Hold to jump higher. Master Mantis can walk on the ceiling if his jump reaches it. 
• Lulu
• Runs along the ground.
• Input: Tap to make Lulu float upwards. Press down on the analog stick to ground pound.
• Penny
• Cannot move normally. Use the analog stick to aim Penny’s water blaster.
• Input: Fire the water blaster, moving Penny in the opposite direction.
• Pyoro
• Runs along the ground.
• Input: Extends Pyoro’s tongue at 45 degree angle upwards.

WarioWare: Get It Together best characters

We all have our own favorites, but some of WarioWare: Get It Together’s characters are clearly better than others. Anyone with an automatic jump like Kat and Ana is clearly out of contention, while free-flying reigns supreme. Our picks for the best characters in WarioWare: Get It Together focus on the speed with which they can get around or hit targets to solve most microgames.

• Wario: He flies freely, is easy to control and can shoulder barge both ways. A winner.
• Ashley: The best character in the game, Ashley can fly freely and unload shots from afar to complete games.
• 18-Volt: Like Ashley, but rooted to the spot. Struggled in some microgames but dominates most.

Those are our picks for the best characters in WarioWare: Get It Together, but choosing the power team every round isn’t exactly in the spirit of WarioWare madness. If you want the most fun, choose a random team instead.
