Jinx joins Fortnite as Riot Games are added to Epic Games Store

The Epic Games Store welcomes Riot Games to the fold as unofficial spokesmascot Jinx becomes the latest addition to Fortnite.

You can now download and play Legends of Runeterra, League of Legends, Teamfight Tactics and Valorant on EGS, and from 8pm ET tonight you can get Jinx in Fortnite, along with a back bling, pickaxe, spray, lobby track and two loading screens.

Players on EGS will be able to download Riot's games through the new Riot Client, which will install once they choose to download a free-to-play title from Epic's store. So it's a launcher for your launcher. Still, opening up the games to a massive fanbase who may not be familiar with Riot's multiplayer offerings is a big coup.

This is yet another impressive show of force from Riot, who are currently pulling out all the stops to promote the upcoming Netflix animated series Arcane, which airs at 10pm ET on November 6, with a Twitch viewing party organized for the premiere.

Other cross-promotional efforts include bringing back Imagine Dragons, the band responsible for the most iconic Worlds anthem of all time, to make an official music video for a song included in Arcane.

“Riot Games is one of the world’s best developers and creators of groundbreaking entertainment franchises,” said Steve Allison, Vice President and General Manager of the Epic Games Store. “We’re excited they’ve chosen to partner with us to bring their titles to millions of new players through the Epic Games Store.”

Riot's games are available to download through the EGS now and Jinx will appear in the Fortnite store tonight from 8pm ET, with a bundle of cosmetics as part of the Gaming Legends Series.
