MultiVersus Season 1 patch notes bring Bugs and Velma nerfs

MultiVersus Season 1 arrives today, and it brings with it a wealth of bug fixes and balance adjustments. The MultiVersus Season 1 patch notes included details on newcomer Morty, adjustments to the current free characters, and major adjustments to many of the game’s characters.

The biggest characters to be hit with the nerf hammer include Bugs Bunny, who’s had extra whiff recovery frames added to most of his aerial attacks; Finn, who has had his whirlwind backpack tweaked ahead of hitbox/hurtbox adjustments; and Velma who has had most of her aerial attacks weakened and her weight reduced.

Legend:

Note: Attacks callouts reference default controls.

Arya

The goal of these changes was to make Arya’s combos be more consistent and successful at lower skill levels.

Batman

Bugs Bunny

Bugs Bunny is a bit too safe in everything he does. We’ve given him some additional whiff punish windows to help address this.

Finn

Fighting against Finn felt too difficult as Finn felt a bit too safe and could throw out attacks without much fear of a punish due to how quickly he recovered. Hurt/Hit box foundational updates are coming soon, but will not be in this patch.

Garnet

Harley

Iron Giant

Jake

LeBron

Reindog

Shaggy

Shaggy’s Side Special felt a little too unpunishable, so we’ve added a bit of Whiff Recovery.

Steven

Superman

Taz

This is the start of our tornado changes for Taz. We will be continuing to monitor the tornado with extra scrutiny in case additional changes are needed.

Tom And Jerry

Velma

Wonder Woman
