The PS Plus Collection waves goodbye in May

The PS Plus collection will be removed from all tiers of PlayStation Plus subscription in May, Sony has announced.

Available to PS5 owners subscribed to PlayStation Plus Essential and higher, the PS Plus collection is a library of 19 popular PS4 games including Bloodborne, Monster Hunter World, God of War, and Resident Evil 7.

It’s a brilliant batch of games, but Sony has now announced that the PS Plus Collection will be brought to a close on May 9, with all the included games no longer free to download for subscribers. Many of the games are also included in the PS Plus Extra and Premium subscription tiers, but for Essential subscribers, it’s a big loss.

The good news for those who already have a PS5 is that if you add the games to your library ahead of May 9, they’ll remain yours to keep and play so long as you have an active PS Plus subscription.

You don’t need to download the games, just add them to your library. So if you don’t have access to them already, it’s well worth going through the collection ahead of time and picking out any titles you might want to check out in future.

Here’s the full list of PS Plus Collection games you can grab before the bundle vanishes forever. Persona 5 was previously included in the collection, but was removed in May 2022.

The PS Plus Collection end date is May 9. In more positive news, you can check out details on this month’s PS Plus February games, available to grab from February 7.
