Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown Motherly Love side quest guide

Once you’re booted down into the Depths for the first time, you may well discover the Motherly Love side quest in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. This old lady hidden away in an upper corner of a room will ask you to hunt down the corrupted boar that killed her children. It’s easy to miss the location of this villainous boar foe, but our Motherly Love side quest guide will take you to the right spot.

You can start the Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown Motherly Love side quest soon after you’re knocked down into the depths in a traitorous twist. Just head right from the landing room, through the corridors, and then climb up instead of going down when given the option. Speak with the old woman and she’ll ask you to hunt down an evil boar in the depths. Before you do that, we’d highly recommend progressing far enough to regain your Eye of the Wanderer so that you have access to the map.

You’ll now want to head to the chamber marked in the image above. Return to the room you were knocked down into (indicated by an image of a figure falling into the floor) and this time head left. In the next room after the corridors, we highly recommend climbing upwards to reach the Wak-Wak tree and fast travel point before you try to take on the boss. Keep heading left from there to reach the boss room

Inside the large chamber you’ll encounter Undead Erlik, a tougher version of the boar fight you faced in the forest earlier. We say tougher, but the same strategy of sliding underneath him and hitting his rear will still work just fine. Watch out for his rear kick and keep chasing him down so that he doesn’t spew poison as often.

With Undead Erlik beaten, head into the chamber behind to find the grisly remains of the old woman’s family, including a collectible. Good news! Once you leave and return to the boss room, you’ll find the old woman there, saving the need to backtrack. Bad news! She isn’t going to help you, and will in fact transform into a monster and attack. She’s a tad tougher than a regular catacombs foe, but you’ve got this.
