The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth Delayed on Nintendo Switch

The game won’t make the Nintendo Switch release date of March 3rd.

Initially intended as a launch title for the Nintendo Switch, developer Nicalis recently confirmed that the release date for The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth + has officially been delayed.

According to Nicalis, the release date has been pushed back from the March 3rd release of the Nintendo Switch toward the end of March, though no specific date has been provided.

Additionally, Nicalis took the time to showcase the box art for the game's physical version and pre-order exclusives, including sticker sheets and a 20-page retro instruction manual.

The boxed copy for The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ looks fantastic, and many Nintendo Switch owners will relish the fact the game is available in cartridge format due to the Switch's limited 32GB internal memory.

The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ is the second expansion for the popular procedurally generated dungeon crawler, The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth. The Afterbirth+ expansion introduced new bosses, new weapons, over 500 items, 6,000 possible dungeon rooms, and a new bestiary that tracks all of the monsters the player has defeated to the original game.

The Nintendo Switch version of The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ will include both Afterbirth as well as the Afterbirth+ expansion.

You can currently preorder The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ for the Nintendo Switch at various online retailers, or learn more about The Binding of Isaac on Nicalis' official website.
