Players wondering how to get a trench coat in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds may be disappointed to hear that these highly coveted jackets are going to be a rare item to come across.
While in the game, players can usually find it lying around on the ground but if you’re looking to permanently obtain it and hope to find it hiding in one of your Pioneer crates, we’re sorry to tell you that you’re wasting your time.
There are currently only two ways to get your hands on this rare item. One way is to have pre-ordered the $40.00 deluxe edition of Battlegrounds. Players who did this were rewarded with the PlayerUnknown costume set which contains items such as the trench coat, scarf, bandana, shoes, and a bloodied gray t-shirt.
You can obtain this set through the Steam Community Market right now, but you’d be paying upwards of $200 for it.
The second way to get the PlayerUnknown’s trench coat is to buy the item separately on the Steam Community Market. Currently, it’s listed at about $100 but is more than likely going to increase in price due to its high demand.
Players who have purchased these items have also been experiencing a bug where the items that once were in their Steam inventory suddenly disappear without a trace.
