If you’ve been running through the latest Darkest Dungeon DLC, The Crimson Court, you may find yourself wondering what all the new Curios are. While we briefly mention one in our Darkest Dungeon: The Crimson Court beginner’s guide, we know you’re likely looking for a look at the rest of them as we were.
To help you out, here’s a look at all new Curios found in Darkest Dungeon: The Crimson Court!
Darkest Dungeon: The Crimson Court - All New Curios

Thronging Hive
Item: Pitch Soaked Torch
In Darkest Dungeon: The Crimson Court, one of the first quests you’ll tackle in the Courtyard deals with the Thronging Hive Curio. This is a special Curio that requires you to utilize three Pitch Soaked Torches (different from your regular Torch), which you receive at the beginning of the quest. Again, the Thronging Hive Curio can only be destroyed with these Pitch Soaked Torches.
Throbbing Cocoon
Item: Torch
When it comes to the Throbbing Cocoon Curios, you can use a Torch to burn the eggs within the cocoon and regain Stress. Should you decide to interact with the Throbbing Cocoon without using an item, you’ll summon mosquito enemies. As you’d expect, we recommend using the Torch for this Curio in Darkest Dungeon: The Crimson Court.
Crumbling Pillar
Item: Shovel
This Curio in Darkest Dungeon: The Crimson Court is located in the Courtyard and can only be removed with a shovel (unless you want to take damage). You’re unable to pass this particular section of the Courtyard without removing the Crumbling Pillar first. So, if you don’t have a shovel on hand, everyone in your party will take damage as they slowly break apart the Crumbling Pillar Curio with their bare hands.

Pile of Strange Bones
Item: Blood, Bandages
When you reach the Pile of Strange Bones Curio in Darkest Dungeon: The Crimson Court, you have a few options available to you. Should you use Blood, you’ll essentially resurrect the dead and summon both vampire enemies and mosquitos. If you use Bandage, you’ll receive items, which is the recommended route for this particular Curio. Mainly because if you interact with the Pile of Strange Bones without an item, there’s a small potential to receive a trinket, though it will most likely deal damage.
Bloodflowers
Item: Holy Water, Blood, Shovel
This particular Curio in Darkest Dungeon: The Crimson Court offers a few unique scenarios depending on the item you use. If you use Holy Water on the Bloodflowers, they will wither and inflict additional Stress. If you use Blood, nothing will happen both good and bad. However, if you use a Shovel to dig up the Bloodflowers, you will acquire a random treasure. We recommend the Shovel method, though if you don’t have a Shovel on hand, using Blood is a safer bet than Holy Water for this particular Curio.
Those are all of the Curios we’ve discovered in Darkest Dungeon: The Crimson Court as of right now. Have you found any interesting Curios that didn’t make it on this list? Let us know in the comments below!
