Finding squadmates and companions in Mass Effect: Andromeda is extremely important as it will increase your options when entering combat as well as ensuring you are able to romance all available characters. The more squadmates you recruit the greater chances you’ll have when learning how to kill Architects.

Where to find Liam Kosta

Liam is the very first person to join your squad in Mass Effect: Andromeda. He'll be with you at the beginning of the prologue.

Liam Kosta is the first squadmate you can recruit in Mass Effect: Andromeda and extremely easy to find. As you play through the Prologue, Liam and Ryder will team up to continue their mission. You can find him in the Hyperion Cryobay.

Liam is also a romance option for female Ryder.

Where to find Cora Harper

Cora will opt to join your squad after the prologue on Habitat 7.

Lieutenant Cora Harper is the second squadmate you can find in Mass Effect: Andromeda and joins through the progression of the story. You will meet her during the first mission, “Planetside”, at Habitat 7 where you help her hold out against a Kett attack.

Cora is a romance option for the male Ryder twin.

Where to find Vetra Nyx

Vetra will join your squad in Mass Effect: Andromeda as you approach the Tempest for the first time.

To find Vetra Nyx in Mass Effect: Andromeda you will need to reach Mission 2, A Better Beginning. You will find her located at The Nexus as part of the mission to secure the Tempest. Before leaving, Vetra will request to join you on your adventure.

Vetra Nyx can also be romanced by both the male and female Ryder.

Peebee or Pelessaria B’Sayle, is the second squadmate that will join your team during the second mission, A Better Beginning. Peebee will join your squad after you activate the Remnant vault on Eos. You are also able to romance Peebee in Mass Effect: Andromeda using either Ryder twin.

Where to find Drack, Nakmor

You will meet Drack the first time you go to Eos, but he won't join your squad until the end of the mission.

Another squadmate you can find to join your team in Mass Effect: Andromeda is Drack. As you play through the second Priority Ops mission on Eos, A Better Beginning, you will come across a research building beside a Remnant structure, Drack will be inside, killing Kett.

Drack is not a romance option in Mass Effect: Andromeda, so don’t worry about trying to flirt with him.

Where to find Jaal

You will meet your squadmate Jaal after reaching Aya. He will be stand-offish at first, but he will warm to you.

To find Jaal in Mass Effect: Andromeda you will need to progress to Mission 3, A Trial of Hope. He is one of the new alien forms, an Angara, and Jaal can only be romanced by the female Ryder twin.

When you reach Aya and follow the first contact between humans and the Angara, you will come across a character named Evfra. After your discussion with them, Jaal will be available for recruiting.

All the squadmates in Mass Effect: Andromeda are easy to find, as you will run across them during your progression through the Priority Ops missions. There’s no risk of missing them, but to be safe, be sure to fully explore the missions and levels before continuing on.

Having a vast array of squadmates and companions in Mass Effect: Andromeda is important when you begin looking for all the Architects, as they offer excellent strategic options during difficult battles.
