This guide will show you how to romance Liam Kosta in Mass Effect: Andromeda. Liam is a human male who can only be romanced by the female Ryder twin. He is also the first squadmate you can unlock in the game.
How to Romance Liam Kosta
To romance Liam Kosta in Mass Effect: Andromeda, you must first unlock him as a squadmate. Once Liam has joined your squad, you must interact with him over the course of the game while also completing his Loyalty mission. Completing the Loyalty mission will also unlock the United Achievement or Trophy.
Step 1: Romancing Liam Kosta
The first step in romancing Liam Kosta in Mass Effect: Andromeda is to talk to him in the Tempest’s Storage Room and respond with the dialogue option: “Company like this.”
Step 2: Talking on the Tempest
After talking with Liam the first time, speak with him again before visiting Aya to continue romancing him.
Step 3: Visited Aya
Once you have visited Aya for the first time and have completed Liam’s research project, speak with him in the Storage Room aboard the Tempest and respond with the following dialogue options:
- “You two should sell tickets.”
- “Explain and make it good.”
Step 4: Kiss Liam Kosta
The next step in romancing Liam Kosta involves kissing him. This is a Dialogue Action that occurs after finishing the mission, A Trail of Hope.
Step 5: Aya Market
When you next head to Aya and view the wrap-up scene at the bar, you can find Liam in the Market where you must respond with the dialogue option: “I enjoyed time with you too.”
Step 6: Loyalty Mission
Liam’s Loyalty mission will begin after you have completed the previous steps and have at least three outposts settled on planets. You can find Liam in the Storage Room to begin his Loyalty mission.
Step 7: Loyalty Mission Completed
Upon completing the Loyalty mission and when the Angaran Resistance has attacked Eos, you can speak with Liam wherever you find him next and respond with the dialogue option: “I’m interested in you.”
Step 8: Commit to Liam Kosta
To continue romancing Liam Kosta in Mass Effect: Andomreda you must have received a message from Liam to meet him at Prodromos. It’s at this point that you can commit to an exclusive relationship with Liam.
Step 9: Romancing Liam Kosta
The final step in romancing Liam Kosta in Mass Effect: Andromeda is to meet him on Eos at Prodromos. This step requires you to have been to Prodromos and have researched the jet pack (this requires 6 Aluminium and 2 Iridium). There will be a Dialogue Action that you must hit in order to complete your romancing of Liam Kosta.
