This guide will show you how to romance Jaal in Mass Effect: Andromeda. Jaal is one of the new alien races in Andromeda, the Angara and is only able to be romanced by the female Ryder twin. He is also one of the six squadmates you can unlock.
How to Romance Jaal
Before you can begin romancing Jaal, you must first unlock him as a squadmate, once that is done you will need to talk to him at every opportunity to get. Another task you must complete before you can fully romance Jaal is to finish his Loyalty mission, which also unlocks the Building Bridges Achievement or Trophy.
Step 1: Romancing Jaal
The first step to romancing Jaal in Mass Effect: Andromeda is to talk to him in the Tempest’s Tech Lab. This can be accomplished after you visit Aya and have recruited Jaal. The dialogue option you must choose is: “One more thing.” Be careful, as this romance introduction expires after finishing the Priority Ops mission, A Trail of Hope.
Step 2: Talking with Jaal
Find Jaal around the Tempest and talk to him, selecting the dialogue option: “Interested?”
Step 3: Loyalty Mission
You can begin the next section of romancing Jaal once the Akksul conversation on Vidcon has been completed. Find Jaal in the Storage Room of the Tempest to initiate his Loyalty mission.
Step 4: Visit Kadara
After visiting Kadara, speak with Jaal in the Tech Lab and use the dialogue choice: “I think you’re special.”
Step 5: Completed Hunting the Archon
To continue romancing Jaal in Mass Effect: Andromeda you must talk with him on Harvest at Mom’s House. For this to become available, you need to have received an email from Jaal, have him in your party, completed the Loyalty Mission, and finished the mission, Hunting the Archon. At this point, you can commit to an exclusive relationship with Jaal. This will prevent you from being able to romance the other characters in Mass Effect: Andromeda.
Step 6: The Journey to Meridian
The next step in romancing Jaal is to speak with him in the Tempest’s Tech Lab after completing the Priority Ops mission, The Journey to Meridian. This romance option will disappear if you finish the game. You will need to select the dialogue option: “I adore you.”
Step 7: Talking with Jaal
Speak with Jaal after completing the game to romance him further.
Step 8: Romancing Jaal
To complete the Jaal romance quest, speak with him at the Aya Hub next to the Waterfall. This conversation is only available if you committed to him previously. Look out for the Dialogue Action!
