This guide will show you how to start The Ringed City, Dark Souls 3’s newest DLC.
Dark Souls 3: The Ringed City is the latest and final piece of content for Dark Souls 3 and the entire Dark Souls series. Much like the rest of the Dark Souls DLC, The Ringed City is not easily accessed and requires some work to reach.
Take some time before you begin your final leg of the adventure, as From Software recommends a Souls Level of 125. The Ringed City is a late-game area and will be extremely challenging. You must also have access to either the Kiln of the First Flame or Ashes of Ariandel.
How to Start The Ringed City
There are two ways you can start The Ringed City DLC in Dark Souls 3. The first way to access The Ringed City is to make your way to the final boss room in the Ashes of Ariandel DLC area, The Painted World of Ariandel.
Fast travel to the Sister Friede Bonfire, the room where you fought Sister Friede, and look ahead of you at the wall. There will be a new bonfire near the statue of the snake-girl. Interact with this new bonfire to access The Ringed City. You will be transported to the new area, The Dreg Heap.
The second way to start The Ringed City DLC is to have access to the final area of the game, the Kiln of the First Flame. Fast travel to the bonfire and turn around, you’ll spot another bonfire that wasn’t there previously. Approach and interact with this new bonfire to be warped to The Dreg Heap, The Ringed City’s first area.
