PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has two new maps on the way, with the second set on mountainous terrain in the Adriatic. The desert map looks to offer a good chunk more street fighting, with most images so far showing off a sprawling cityscape.
Sadly there’s no confirmed release date yet, but we can expect it before the end of the year.
The team at our office in Madison have been working hard on our new desert map, and today I am excited to share some new WIP screenshots of this new terrain... pic.twitter.com/J2Dm21715p
The map itself will be 8x8km, matching the current, Erangel island. From the newly release images, there’ll be plenty of cover outside of the cities, too, with rocky terrain poking up in the background of every shot.
The third image looks very much like a military compound, too, which will no doubt end up as one of the hottest zones to contest for loot.
