Mario Tennis Aces has been out for a while now and plenty of new characters have joined the roster. Multiple patches have really reshuffled the rankings, knocking the godly Bowser Jr. and Waluigi down a peg or two. How does everyone stack up now? Our tier list aims to rank each of them based on their capablities and success in competition. Bear in mind that these lists can change over time, especially if Nintendo patches the game or players discover new tricks. Read on to find out our tier list for Mario Tennis Aces.
Mario Tennis Aces Tier List
Bowser Jr. and Waluigi may have dominated the early days of Aces' life, but with the 1.2.0 update and further patches both characters have seen hefty nerfs come their way. The two former god-tier characters are nowhere near the monsters they used to be, leaving some new faces at the top of the pack.
Along with a reduced emphasis on defensive trick shots, power characters also took a hit thanks to the reduced knockback from charge shots. DK, King Koopa and Chain Chomp are still formidable presences on the court, but they've begun to fall down when compared to the precise hits of technical characters. Along with newcomer Koopa Trooper, two royal individuals have begun to establish their sovereign rule at the top.
Daisy, Koopa, Peach.
Toadette, Luigi, Boo, Donkey Kong, Yoshi.
Bowser, Blooper, Chain Chomp, Waluigi.
Spike, Toad, Diddy Kong, Waluigi.
Rosalina, Bowser Jr., Mario, Luigi, Wario.
And that’s the complete tier list! With Boom Boom, Luma and Rosalina also arriving early this year, how will things shake up for them? We can only wait and see.
