In Shadow of the Tomb Raider, one mechanic players have been curious about is how to heal. While Lara has the ability to regain her health over time, players also have the option to manually heal in Shadow of the Tomb Raider. By knowing how to manually heal, players will be better prepared for all of the enemies Lara will inevitably encounter.
To help demystify the process, we’ve put together a quick guide on how to manually heal in Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
How to Heal in Shadow of the Tomb Raider
As stated above, Lara will automatically regenerate health over time in Shadow of the Tomb Raider. However, players also have the ability to manually heal Lara should the need arise. To manually heal, players will first need to have healing items, such as medicinal herbs and bandages, on hand.
As you play through Shadow of the Tomb Raider, you’ll have many opportunities to gather medicinal items and save them in your inventory for future use. Medicinal plants can be identified by the medical plus sign hovering over them. When you see this, it’s well worth pausing to pick these plants up. Note that your inventory does have a limit when it comes to how many medicinal items you can carry at one time.
Of course, if you’ve maxed this out, you’ll know that you’re well-prepared for whatever dangers come your way. To use these items to heal Lara, you’ll want to get to a safe location as healing will root Lara to the spot until the process has completed. Once you’ve found a safe spot to heal, you can press F1 on PC to heal Lara.
