As stated above, there are a total of four secret characters that can be unlocked in Super Mario Party. To unlock these characters, you’ll need to complete a series of special tasks for each one. The more you play Super Mario Party, the easier it’ll to be to unlock these characters.
The main reasons stems from familiarity, as the more familiar you are with Super Mario Party the better the odds of unlocking these characters on the first or second try. That said, we’ve listed the four secret characters you can unlock in Super Mario Party below and how to unlock them!
- Diddy Kong: One of our favorite unlockable characters in Super Mario Party has to be Diddy Kong. To unlock Diddy Kong in Mario Party, you’ll first need to unlock a game mode called Challenge Road. To unlock Challenge Road, you’ll first have to go through and unlock every mini-game in Mario Party. With Challenge Road unlocked, start up the mode and keep playing until you beat the end of World 2. After that, you’ll unlock Diddy Kong in Super Mario Party!
- Donkey Kong: Where there’s Diddy Kong, there’s bound to be Donkey Kong. That’s right, the second secret character in Mario Party is Donkey Kong. Donkey Kong is a lot easier to unlock than Diddy Kong. In fact, to unlock Donkey Kong, all you’ll need to do is finish a mode called River Survival. To do this, play River Survival three times and land at a different each time. With that done, you’ll have successfully unlocked Donkey Kong in Super Mario Party!
- Pom Pom: Returning to Challenge Road for a moment, the next secret character you can unlock in Super Mario Party is Pom Pom. Pom Pom is one of the hardest secret characters to unlock, as you’ll need to beat World 5 of Challenge Road. This can take some time and effort, but as stated above, the more you play the better you’ll get. Once you beat World 5 of Challenge Road, you’ll have successfully unlocked Pom Pom in Super Mario Party.
- Dry Bones: Finally, the fourth secret character you can unlock in Super Mario Party is Dry Bones. Like Pom Pom, Dry Bones can be tricky to unlock. The reason for this stems from the fact that Dry Bones unlocks at random. As you play through Super Mario Party, entering and exiting the plaza, you’ll have a chance to stumble across Dry Bones. To unlock him, be sure to return to the plaza when you finish with a mode to see if he’s there. Once he’s there, you can interact with him to unlock him in Super Mario Party.
