How to unlock all cheat codes in Red Dead Redemption 2

If you’ve been having trouble in Red Dead Redemption 2, you may be wondering how to unlock all of the game’s cheat codes. For example, many players have been asking if there’s a cheat to get infinite ammo in Red Dead Redemption 2. Similar to other Rockstar titles (like the Grand Theft Auto series) the answer is “yes.”

Of course, there’s always a price to using cheat codes. Namely, if you use cheat codes in Red Dead Redemption 2, all of your Achievements and Trophies will deactivate. Caveats aside, if you’re struggling and need a little extra help, or if you simply want to power through the game on a separate save file and have no qualms about using cheats, we’ve got you covered.

Below, we’ve put together a quick guide featuring all of the cheat codes and how to unlock them in Red Dead Redemption 2!

How to Unlock All Cheat Codes in Red Dead Redemption 2

Before you can begin using cheat codes in Red Dead Redemption 2, you’ll first need to familiarize yourself with the Cheats menu. In the Cheats menu, you’ll be able to view the cheat codes you’ve unlocked in order to activate them, as well as the cheats you still need to unlock.

To view your Cheats menu, pause Red Dead Redemption 2, then pull up the Settings menu. Once in Settings, you can view the Cheats menu by pressing either Y on Xbox One, or Triangle on PlayStation 4. Now that you know where to find the list of lock and unlocked Cheats in Red Dead Redemption 2, let’s review all of the cheat codes we’ve found, what they do, and how to unlock them.

• Abundance is the Dullest Desire (Infinite Ammo): The “Infinite Ammo” cheat code unlocks after you reach Horseshoe Overlook in Chapter 2. After that, you’ll need to purchase either the Blackwater Ledger No. 62 or the New Hanover Gazette No. 27 in Valentine.
• Virtue Unearned is not Virtue (Max Honor): To max out your Honor level in Red Dead Redemption 2, you’ll need to complete the Banking, The Old American Art mission in Chapter 4, then purchase the Blackwater Ledger No. 67.
• Balance, All is Balance (Reset Honor): Unlike the Max Honor cheat, you can also reset your Honor level by toggling the “Balance, All is Balance” cheat in Red Dead Redemption 2.
• Eat of Knowledge (Learn All Crafting Recipes): You can instantly learn all crafting recipes in Red Dead Redemption 2 by entering in the "Eat of Knowledge" cheat code.
• The Lucky be Strong Evermore (Infinite Stamina): To unlock the “Infinite Stamina” cheat which grants max Stamina to you and your horse, you’ll need to complete the Dear Uncle Tacitus mission in Chapter 5, then purchase the Blackwater Ledger No. 68.
• A Simple Life, A Beautiful Death (Simple Weapons): Unlike the cheat to unlock all Heavy Weapons, you can immediately access all Simple Weapons by opening your Cheats menu and toggling “A Simple Beautiful Death” in Red Dead Redemption 2.
• Death is Silence (Stealth Weapons): Similar to the Simple Weapons cheat, you can toggle this option to immediately own all Stealth Weapons in Red Dead Redemption 2.
• Share (Unlock All Camp Upgrades): One of the easiest cheat codes to use in Red Dead Redemption 2 is the one that unlocks all camp upgrades. To activate this cheat, simply enter the "Share" code.
• Vanity, All Is Vanity (Own All Outfits): If you want to dress Arthur Morgan in the finest garb, you can toggle this cheat in the Cheats menu to instantly own all outfits in Red Dead Redemption 2.
• A Fool on Command (Drunk): This cheat code keeps Arthur Morgan permanently drunk and can be toggled on or off in the Cheats menu.
• You Want Freedom (Decrease Wanted Level): Rather than paying off your Bounty, you can instantly decrease your Wanted Level by toggling this cheat in Red Dead Redemption 2.
• You Want Punishment (Increase Wanted Level): Like to live dangerously? Looking for a good gunfight or two? You can toggle this cheat to increase your Wanted Level in Red Dead Redemption 2.
• You Flourish Before You Die (Full Health, Stamina, Dead Eye): Rather than using an item, you can instantly replenish your Health, Stamina, and Dead Eye cores by toggling this cheat in your Cheats menu.
• I Shall Be Better (Increase Dead Eye Level): In the Cheats menu, you can instantly upgrade your Dead Eye to Level 3. As you progress through the game, additional Dead Eye levels will become available.
• Keep Your Dreams Simple (Create Wagon): Looking to get yourself a Wagon in Red Dead Redemption 2? No problem! Open your Cheats menu and toggle this cheat to instantly create a Wagon complete with a Horse to pull it.
• Would You Be Happier as a Clown? (Create Circus Wagon): Similar to the cheat used to create a free Wagon in Red Dead Redemption 2, you can also spawn a free Circus Wagon. To do this, you’ll first need to reach Epilogue Part 2, then purchase yourself the Blackwater Ledger No. 73.
• Run! Run! Run! (Create Race Horse): Tired of your Horse in Red Dead Redemption 2? Use this cheat to spawn a free Race Horse!
• You Want More Than You have (Create Superior Horse): Similar to the Race Horse cheat, you can instantly spawn yourself a Superior Horse by toggling this cheat in the Cheats menu of Red Dead Redemption 2.
• You Are a Beast Built For War (Create War Horse): Similar to the Race Horse cheat, you can instantly spawn a free War Horse. To do this, you’ll need to reach Epilogue Part 1, then purchase the Blackwater Ledger No. 72.

• Better Than My Dog (Increase Horse Whistle Range): Tired of calling your Horse only to find they’re too far away? Open your Cheats menu and activate this cheat. In doing so, your Horse will come to you whenever you whistle regardless of distance.
• My Kingdom is a Horse (Increase Horse Bonding): To save the time spent bonding with your horse, you can enter the cheat code "My Kingdom is a Horse" to instantly increase your horse bonding level.
• You Long for Sight and See Nothing (Fog of War, Reveal Map): To reveal the full map in Red Dead Redemption 2 without having to travel, you’ll first need to complete the mission Blood Feuds, Ancient and Modern in Chapter 3. After that, purchase either the Blackwater Ledger No. 66 or the New Hanover Gazette No. 31 and toggle the option in your Cheats menu.
• Greed is American Virtue (Heavy Weapons): The cheat code needed to instantly access Heavy Weapons like the Mauser Pistol, Semi-Automatic Pistol, Pump Action Shotgun, and Bolt-Action Rifle unlocks after you reach Chapter 3 in Red Dead Redemption 2. After that, you’ll need to purchase either the Blackwater Ledger No.65 or the Saint Denis Times No. 46.
• You Seek More Than the World Offers (Fortify Health, Stamina, Dead Eye): Similar to the “You Flourish Before You Die” cheat code, you can instantly fortify all of your cores. To do this, you’ll need to first complete The King’s Son mission in Chapter 6, then purchase the New Hanover Gazette No. 36 in Red Dead Redemption 2.
• Seek All The Bounty of This Place (Increase Health, Stamina, and Dead Eye Stats): To instantly increase your stats, enter the "Seek All The Bounty of This Place" cheat code.
