GeForce RTX 2060 coming January 15

The latest GPU from Nvidia offers an affordable entry price and promising stats.

At CES 2019, Nvidia unveiled a brand new GPU for PC gamers to sink their teeth into, the GeForce RTX 2060. Addressing the CES crowd, Nvidia CEO and founder Jensen Huang noted:

“Next-gen gaming starts today for tens of millions of gamers everywhere. Desktop gamers are demanding, and the RTX 2060 sets a new standard – an unbeatable price, extraordinary performance, and real-time ray tracing that blurs the distinction between movies and games. This is a great moment for gamers and our industry.”

Scheduled to release globally next week on January 15, the RTX 2060 is fairly priced at $349 and boasts some pretty competitive stats.

When it comes to specs, the RTX 2060 features a “next-gen 6-phase power supply for maximum overclocking and dual-axial 13-blade fans for ultra-cool and quiet performance.” In addition, you get 6GB of GDDR6 memory, 1680 MHz boost clock, 14 Gbps memory speed, 7680x4320 max digital resolution, 160W of GCP, and 240 Tensor Cores.

To boost the overall GeForce Experience, the RTX 2060 offers Nvidia staples including Ansel, Freestyle, and Highlights. Of course, the RTX 2060 will also include real-time ray tracing as mentioned by Jensen Huang at CES, with games including Battlefield 5 getting updates in the future to include DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) support.

The RTX 2060 is available starting January 15 for $349 (limit 2 per customer). Included with your RTX 2060 purchase is a digital code for either Battlefield 5 or Anthem depending on which you prefer, though buyers will need to wait until the release date of February 22 to play Anthem.
