All Dear Photograph locations in Far Cry New Dawn

Looking for activities to fill your time in Far Cry New Dawn? You may have taken on the A Thousand Words quest and spotted a Dear Photograph collectible while out and about. These offer a touch more fun than simply picking up an object, so they’re definitely an enjoyable task to complete.

Each Dear Photograph collectible asks you to take a camera shot that compares how parts of Hope County looked before and after New Dawn’s apocalyptic event. In this guide we’ll take you through each Dear Photograph location and provide an image to help you make the shot.

All Dear Photograph locations in Far Cry New Dawn

There are a total of nine different Dear Photograph locations to capture, and each of them will let you know when you’re in the search area. The key is to look for a camera, mat and stool sitting around the environment, as that’s where the original photographer was. Line up your pictures from the same place and you’ll steadily complete the A Thousand Words quest as you go.

Thanks to our friends at Shacknews for the images.

Dear Photograph location 1

The first photo you’ll need is only a short walk from Prosperity itself. You’ll be looking back at the buildings of the town when you’ve got it aimed correctly.

Dear Photograph location 2

Travel to Rye and Daughter Aviation for the next photo, which is only a quick journey from Prosperity. The photograph spot isn’t too far from the river that runs up towards Prosperity, once again looking towards the buildings here.

Dear Photograph location 3

For the next Dear Photograph you should travel to The Chop Shop outpost. There’s a leaning tower nearby with the wreckage of a propeller plane on it. Head west from the tower and you’ll find the photographer’s camp. Looking back at the plane, it’s quite a solemn but beautiful view. Snap a shot and move on when you’re ready.

Dear Photograph location 4

This Dear Photograph is a short trip east from The Pantry outpost. There’s a field here in which, close to a lone tree, you’ll find the photographer’s camp looking back towards The Pantry to the west.

Dear Photograph location 5

Travelling further east from The Pantry until you reach the wiver, you’ll find this Dear Photograph down the bank from the derailed trains. Follow the river down from the train bridge until you find the camp, then look back at the train wreckages for the photo.

Dear Photograph location 6

The next Dear Photograph is just north of The Refinery outpost. Travel straight north from the outpost and look for a small camp a short distance off the path. Take the shot looking back towards the outpost in the distance.

Dear Photograph location 7

For this next photograph you need to travel east to the very edge of the map. There’s a location here called Chateau Boshaw, and travelling up the hill to the east of it will bring you to the camp, a short distance over the walkway. Take the photo looking towards Chateau Boshaw.

Dear Photograph location 8

The penultimate photograph can be found close to The Island outpost, though not on the outpost island itself. From the nearby, larger island, the camp is along the coast on the outpost side. There’s a derelict building here that’s half sunken into the water. Follow the coast south until you find the camp. You should be directly south of the building itself. Look towards it and capture your image.

Dear Photograph location 9

For the last photograph you’re going to need to visit Joseph’s Sanctuary at the far north of the map. This won’t be possible until you’ve made it through a good portion of the story, so don’t worry if you can’t finish this off just yet. Once you can get there, travel south along the river until you spot the camp. The photograph should be taken looking north up the river
