Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom release delayed to March 2018

Level-5 has announced that Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom has had its release date pushed back from January to March 2018.

Level-5’s CEO Akihiro Hino said (via wccftech) that while development was progressing well, “with innovation and new ideas come the need to ensure everything works together in a fun and cohesive package. This means we’ll need a bit more time to make sure the entire Ni no Kuni II: REVENANT KINGDOM experience meets LEVEL-5 and BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Inc.’s high quality standards.”

The delay is the second for the title, following an initial pushback from November this year to January 19. The original Ni no Kuni gained a decent fan following among western audiences, who will no doubt be disappointed at further delays. However, we’d always rather see developers take their time to ensure a polished experience over ensuring they meet infeasible deadlines by rushing the product.

Ni no Kuni II will launch on PlayStation 4 and PC in March 2018.
