In Wolfenstein: Youngblood, you’ll play as the twin daughters of B.J. Blazkowicz, Soph and Jess. As you work your way through each level, slaughtering foes and solving some light area puzzles, you’ll encounter harder enemies that can take some real finesse to beat. If you’re stuck against the same enemy, dying over and over again, you may find it helpful to adjust the game’s difficulty settings. Of course, it can be somewhat confusing to do this. How to change difficulty in Wolfenstein: Youngblood

First, if you’re wondering if it’s possible to change the difficulty in Wolfenstein: Youngblood after you’ve already started the game, the answer is yes, it is. To adjust the difficulty, all you need to do is pause the game by pressing the Menu button on Xbox One, Options on PS4, or the + symbol on Nintendo Switch.
Keep in mind that the “pause menu” doesn’t pause the gameplay, so if an enemy is in the area, you’ll continue to take damage while you navigate through menu options. As such, we recommend doing this in a safe area, preferably after you’ve cleared out all nearby enemies. Inside the pause menu, you’ll want to select “Options” then “Gameplay” before scrolling to the bottom and choosing “Difficulty” to open your difficulty settings.
Toggling right will increase your difficulty, while toggling left will decrease it. The difficulty options in Wolfenstein: Youngblood are as follows… Easy Casual Normal Hard Very Hard The default difficulty level is Normal, though there’s no shame in lowering it to Casual or Easy if you’re stuck in a particular area. Once you get past that area, you can change the difficulty back to where you had it before. Meanwhile, if you’re breezing through the game you can always increase the difficulty up to Very Hard.
