The simple answer to how to save is that you don’t have to in Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem. This is an online game which saves your data every minute or so, connecting to the studio’s servers to save your character online. If you’re worried about losing your progress. Just give the game a minute or two before you log out.

There was a bug early in Wolcen’s launch that meant the game would struggle to connect to the online servers, and in this case you’d find any characters you created lost each time you restarted the game. If this is happening to you, we recommend contacting Wolcen Studio directly on their forums or via a contact form to report the issue.

It’s also possible to disable your connection to play entirely offline. In this case the game will still save automatically, but now it’ll store your files in the Steam\steamapps\common\Wolcen\Game\save\ folder. You will not be able to use this character for any online features, however, so think carefully before choosing this option.

That’s all there is to know about how to save in Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem. As with many online games, saving is handled automatically to stop you from worrying about it at all, which often only causes people to worry even more!
