A common question that Animal Crossing: New Horizons players ask as they work their way through the game is how to buy new outfits and hairstyles. Similar to buying furniture and customization options for your house, you can fully customize how your character looks in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
At the start of the game, you’re given a decent array of outfit and hairstyle options to choose from to ensure your character represents you as best as possible. While these options aren’t bad, it isn’t abnormal to want to give your character an outfit or hairstyle that’s a little more unique.
So, how do you do this? Well, as you expand your island you’ll unlock the Able Sisters shop.
Once you have the Able Sisters shop unlocked, you can head inside and browse different outfits, accessories, hairstyles, and more. You can preview how all of these items look on your character before buying them which makes browsing the shop a fun activity in and of itself.
When you find something you like, all you need to do is fork over the necessary amount of Bells. For example, if you want to buy a Tailored Jacket as shown in the Animal Crossing: New Horizons trailer below, all you need to do is hand over 1,800 Bells and it’s yours!
Another feature shown in the trailer is your ability to draw and design your own patterns for just about anything from clothing all the way to wallpaper for your house. Cool, right?
