The Resident Evil 3 demo has officially released in New Zealand and Australia, and as time inevitably rolls forward, it will continue to roll out across the rest of the globe. If you’re living in the region that doesn’t have access to the demo yet, you can actually join early by following a few sneaky steps to change your console’s region.
How to access the Resi 3 demo early on Xbox One
If you’re an Xbox One owner, getting the demo early is a piece of cake. Simply head over to the System Settings, find location and change it to New Zealand (or any other unlocked region). Restart your console and when you visit the store you’ll find the demo available to download.
- Open System Settings.
- Change location to New Zealand.

How to access the Resi 3 demo early on PS4
PS4 owners can also access the demo early, though they’ll need to work a touch harder. This time, create a new PlayStation Account and set your region to New Zealand. Sign in and head over to the demo section of the store. You can now download away! It might even be worth keeping that account in case the chance to jump ahead happens again in future.

- Choose New Zealand as your account region.
