In order to customize your NookPhone case in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you’ll need to do a little bit of legwork around your island. Specifically, you’ll need to work your way through the game up until the point where you’ve repaid your Island Getaway package for 5,000 Nook Miles, have built the Nook’s Cranny Shop, and have paid your first home loan for 98,000 Bells.

If you’ve been playing for six days, you’ll also get to complete Tom Nook’s DIY Customization Workshop, which is another step that’s required if you want to change your NookPhone case. Once you’ve completed Tom Nook’s DIY Customization Workshop, you’ll need to get your hands on a Customization Kit which can be purchased from the Nook’s Cranny Shop for 600 Bells.

With a Customization Kit in hand, head to a Workbench and craft yourself a new NookPhone case. Like your clothing, walls, flooring, anything at all really, you can create custom designs for your NookPhone case. Or, you can change it to a solid, plain color if that suits you better. Solid color options include the following:

The choice is yours when it comes to how your NookPhone case looks! In the event you want another NookPhone case for whatever reason, one will be available for purchase from your Nook Stop Terminal after you’ve crafted one following the steps above.
