Update adds ranked matchmaking to Temtem

As promised by developer Crema, the “Spring Update” for Temtem has arrived, bringing with it the introduction of ranked matchmaking. Almost everything added to the game through this update was teased in Crema’s content roadmap. That said, it was noted that the chat rework and club management system updates have been pushed back to a separate update coming in the near future.

Update adds ranked matchmaking to Temtem

Crema has officially added ranked matchmaking to Temtem.

Ranked matchmaking is officially available in Temtem thanks to the release of the Spring Update by developer Crema. Other features are included in the update outside of ranked matchmaking, though it’s arguably the one Temtem players are talking about most. Touching upon what you can expect from ranked matchmaking in Temtem, Crema explains:

“We’ve designed a new rating system called TMR (Tamer Matchmaking Rating) which will rate player’s performance and grant you points for winning matches. Players are matched against each other automatically, based on their current TMR. In order to help new users join the matchmaking ladder (and help expert users try new strategies), every Temtem is auto-scaled on ranked battles. This means that their level is upped to the current level cap (48) and all their SVs are maxed (5). TVs remain intact.”

In addition to increasing your TMR by winning matches, Tamers will receive pansun rewards in the future once Crema finishes testing out the monetary reward aspect. Speaking of testing, Crema also plans to fine tune ranked matchmaking over the next few months. “We also plan to include more advanced features in the future like seasons, leagues, medals, and more rewards.”

For those who love PvP, Crema has added player intros and outros to matches along with things like a Spectator Mode.

In terms of quality of life updates, Crema has added the Battle Log to the game which helps Tamers review key info during a match like status changes, and the health of your opponent. Battle Log is enabled as a default for competitive matches. In the settings, you can enable Battle Log as a default for all matches in Temtem if you wish.
