Requests are the long-term lifeblood of New Pokemon Snap, asking you to complete various tasks across all of the research levels available. You’ll see them pop up on the right side when you load up any research level, but knowing how to complete requests once you’ve snapped the right photo is a little less obvious. Below, we’ll explain the general steps for how to complete requests in New Pokemon Snap.
How to complete requests in New Pokemon Snap
Several requests are viewable on the right side of the screen when you select a level, but you can also view the full list of requests on the main Research Camp menu. Press Y to expand the requests menu, then select All Requests.
Each one requires a very specific Pokemon behaviour to be uncovered and photographed. For example, the Tonight’s Dinner request needs you to photograph a Morelull eating a Fluffruit. If you complete certain requests, you’ll unlock rewards like new icons, frames, and stickers. If a request offers a reward it’ll have a small gift-wrapped box icon.
Pay attention to whether a request is for Day or Night, and which area of the course the image shows.Once you think you have the photo required for a request, you must submit it to be inspected by Professor Mirror, even if you don’t want it in your Photodex.
When Professor Mirror is inspecting the photographs, you should see a small Request Complete message pop up in the top right corner of the screen. You do not need to save the photograph to your photodex to complete the request.
Once you’ve completed the request, return to the Research Camp main menu. Press Y to open the requests menu and select All Requests. Next, press X to open the filter drop-down menu. Choose Completed Requests and look for any requests with exclamation marks over them. Select these to send the required photo to the person who set the request. If completing that request offered a reward, you’ll gain it here.
