The first Sphinx puzzle in The Talos Principle 2 is found in the Wooded Plateau, East 2 region. Just head right from the bridge and follow the path over the water. The Sphinx Monument stands tall, with a sign below it which reads 2 4 7 8. If you’re struggling to solve this conniving cat-bird-human hybrid’s riddle, we can help. The Wooded Plateau Sphinx Monument puzzle is a fairly straightforward one, once you know what you’re looking for. The numbers, as you probably guessed, refer to specific puzzles in the East 2 area. What you’re looking for are hidden levers on the back of the numbered stands outside each puzzle.

Head to puzzle 2 and you’ll find the level on the back of the numbered stand just to the left of the entrance.

At puzzle 4, the lever is on the back of the stand furthest to the right of the entrance. That sneaky sphinx wanted you to miss it.

The sphinx lever for puzzle number 7 is easy to find once more. It’s on the back of the stand just to the right as you approach the puzzle at the top of the hill.

The final lever is on the rear side of the stand just to the right of the entrance to puzzle 8.

Once you’ve flipped all the switches, you should hear an audio cue to let you know you’ve completed the Wooded Plateau Sphinx puzzle. Head back to the Sphinx Monument and you can now grab the spark from underneath it and listen to a short and very mysterious bit of dialogue.
