Real 4K
Real 4K. Native 4K. Non-upscaled 4K. Whatever you want to call it, we want it as a feature of the PlayStation 5. So long as the PS4 Pro doesn’t do full, real, native 4K, we will never hear the end of it. The Xbox One X can allegedly run at full 4K (but that might not be the case), so it would be nice if the PS5 could do the same.
While not everyone cares, or can tell, the difference between 1080p, native 4K, and upscaled 4K, there are those who can see it and who do care about the authentic experience. There’s a chance the PS5 could come out in 2018, and it’s certainly been long enough for Sony to have developed the technology necessary to hit these impressive resolutions, so here’s hoping we hear about it at E3 2018.
