How to replay missions?

After a mission has been successfully completed a rating will be assigned to you. If you didn’t get a gold rating, you’ll have the chance to instantly replay it. Of course, grinding for gold isn’t going to be everyone’s cup of tea, but for those that want to have a clear indicator of their in-game efforts, then the replay feature will definitely come in handy. To replay any mission, pause the game and bring up your menu. Navigate over to Choose Progress, then Story, and then select any of the listed chapters. Each chapter will provide you with a handy list of all the missions and ratings you have achieved.
From here, select any of the missions that you wish to try again. Replaying missions doesn’t just give you the chance to gun for gold, it also allows you to familiarise yourself with all of the game’s mechanics. It’s a fantastic way to brush up on some of Red Dead Redemption 2’s more tricky features, especially if you happen to be coming back to the game after a particularly lengthy break. Whatever the reason, the option to replay any mission is there.
