In Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint, tagging happens automatically when you view enemies through your binoculars, or through the scope of a weapon like the TAC50.

To tag enemies in Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint, you’ll want to familiarize yourself with your binoculars. Not only are they great for scouting an area and putting a stealth-based strategy in place, they’re also used to tag enemies. To do this, you’ll first want to equip your binoculars by opening your item wheel.

You can open your item wheel by holding RB on Xbox One, R1 on PlayStation 4, and Alt on PC. Once your item wheel is open, you’ll need to scroll over to and select your binoculars in order to use them. If you don’t immediately see them in your item wheel, it could be because your item wheel is full. To swap something out of your item wheel and replace it with the binoculars, simply pause and open your loadout menu.

From there, you can add the binoculars to your item wheel in place of another item, preferably one you don’t use very often. Using your binoculars, move around and look for enemies. When you hover over them in the binocular’s view, you’ll tag them automatically. You can also tag enemy locations when scoped into certain weapons, like the TAC50.

The same method applies in that you’ll need to have the weapon equipped, then view enemies through the scope to tag them. Note that some players have experienced issues with the tagging system as a whole not working in Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint. When giving feedback, they’ve explained that the tagging system inexplicably stopped working.

As of right now, there doesn’t appear to be a solid workaround for this, though it’s an issue that’ll likely be resolved in an upcoming patch for Ghost Recon Breakpoint.
