Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint, like most modern games on the market, utilizes an internal auto-save feature to track your progress. You don’t need to do anything to save the game, as the auto-save should trigger regularly on its own. Of course, there are things you can do in order to manually trigger an auto-save before exiting the game.

For example, clearing an area, using Fast Travel, or resting by a Bivouac like the one in the Erewhon main headquarters and adjusting things like class or difficulty. You’ll know the game is using auto-save when an icon appears and flashes in the bottom right corner. As long as you see this icon and wait for it to finish, you should be safe to close out of the game with your progress tracked up to that point.

Keep in mind that Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint is an “always online” game. Because of this, you may experience server hiccups that interrupt your save progress. We recommend keeping an eye out for the auto-save before you exit the game, and triggering it manually through some of the examples listed above, rather than placing too much trust in the game.

While we wish there was a manual save feature in place as well, the only way to save your game in Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint is through auto-save.
