Nintendo's new Pokemon themed MOBA, Pokemon Unite, is out now, and players are already diving deep into the game's systems and rules. One mechanic you may have some questions about is the game's Fair Play Points. Check out guide to get the scoop on these, and what you need to do to keep playing Pokemon Unite penalty-free.
Pokemon Unite Fair Play Points explained
Because Pokemon Unite is a completely multiplayer game, it has systems in place to make sure players are on their best behavior when it comes to match etiquette. That's where the Fair Play Points come into the picture. Every player in Pokemon Unite works their way up to having these points on their profile through games. You start out with 100 Fair Play Points. As long as this number stays above 90, players can receive an in-game reward of 20 coins (which can be used to purchase held items and other in-game items). If your Fair Play score drops below 80 points, you lose the ability to participate in ranked matches. If your score drops below 60 points, you won't be able to play in standard or quick matches anymore.
So how do you check on your Fair Play score? All you have to do is navigate to your Trainer Info menu! On the main menu screen, click the L button to bring up your Trainer Info screen. Navigate down the options to the Fair Play Points tab, and you'll be able to see what your score is, and if you can redeem rewards.
To keep your Fair Play score high, be sure to avoid dropping out of matches before they conclude. Even if you accidentally drop out due to inactivity on the ready screens, your Fair Play points will take a hit, so be sure to pay attention during matchmaking and while readying up!
