If, like us, you don’t have time to memorize a bunch of pixel-perfect lineups, then it’s time to simplify. Our easy CS2 smokes series will teach you the most basic lineups possible so that your tired brain can remember them while you focus on the shooting instead. The easy CS2 Anubis smokes below will help you cut off key CT defensive positions on the A and B site, as well as get a foothold on mid.
So forget saving a thousand videos and score yourself a top-end mouse like the HyperX Pulsefire 2 instead to nail these lineups with precision. Here are our CS2 Anubis smokes that take just a couple of minutes to learn.
Easy CS2 Anubis smokes you won’t forget
We’ve largely focused on T-side Anubis smokes below, as they need the most help to take control of sites. That said, we do have one CT smoke for mid as well. Scroll down or click the links below to jump straight to the smoke you’re after.

A Site Connector
Smoking A Site connector is really easy once you’ve taken control of water. To start, stand against the end of the wall on the edge of this upper ledge on the right side of the area.
Facing towards the windows into the site, aim at the top point of the arch above the visible left window. Left click to throw normally.
This smoke will bounce in through the window and land next to the stairs on A Connector, blocking anyone trying to rotate through there.
A Site Heaven
Heaven can be a tricky place to smoke, but we’ve found a lenient line up from the water area. Stand in the corner of the water next to the small wooden bridge, closest to the T side, as pinged in the image above. Be aware that you'll need to be protected from any CTs checking through A Connector.
Face toward the site and you should see a small veranda below the Hotel Farah sign. From the top, aim at the joint between the first solo horizontal and vertical bars. It's the first joint cleanly visible when moving down from the top right corner. This is by far the trickiest lineup we have for you, we promise. Jump throw (jump and left click together) the smoke. You should hear a grunt from your character with a succesful jump throw.
This CS2 Anubis smoke flies over the roof and drops down to land in Heaven, the raised area at the back right of the site. It should completely block the view for anyone standing up there, forcing them down into the site if they want to continue defending.
B Site Street
Moving over to the B Site, the first two of our easy CS2 Anubis smokes can be thrown from the same spot. Head up the stairs on the left to the raised platform as you make your way towards the site. Stand in the middle of the first vertical block of stone sticking out from the wall on your left. Make sure you have a teammate watching the B Main entrance to ensure no CTs peek you while you’re throwing these.
Face towards the site wall with the large columns and look up to see groups of four distinct petal/shield-shaped bits of stone poking down above the windows. Above the left window, aim in the middle of the rightmost petal/shield. Left click throw.
This smoke will drop through the window and bounce off a wall to block the street at the back of the site entirely. This will stop anyone rotating in from that direction from seeing site, and anyone hiding in the cubby at the start of the street will also be covered in smoke.
B Site Palace
The next Anubis B smoke is thrown from the exact same spot. Head up the stairs on the left as you approach the site onto the raised platform. Stand in the middle of the first block of stones poking out from the wall on your left.
Look towards the site wall with the same columns, windows, and petal/shield stones. This time, look above the right window and aim in the top left corner of the row of four hanging petal/shield stones, as shown in the image above. Left click to throw.
The smoke will sail through the window to drop in the middle of the palace entrance, fully smoking out anyone standing in there or hoping to rotate through. Given the much faster rotation route, we recommend prioritizing this smoke above all others.
B Site Connector
Our final smoke will block off the B Site connector down to the water area. It’s definitely the weakest smoke of the selection, so advise your team to watch out for sneaky CTs trying to hide in it or push through it. Start by heading up the same stairs on the left to the raised platform on the way to the site. This time, stand in the middle of the second block of stones poking out from the wall on the left. You want the closer one to the site, just before the wall turns right.
Turn and look to the same site wall with the columns, windows, and groups of four stone petals/shields. For this line up, look at the top left of the central pillar. You’ll see a number of stone sort of petals curving outwards from the wall at the capital of the pillar. At the very top left, right as the pillar top detail meets the wall above the window, you’ll see a very small circular chunk of stone. Aim at the rough position of this – don’t worry, it’s not too precise of a throw – and left click throw.
This CS2 Anubis smoke will bounce off the pillar chunk and drop down to land just outside the connector door. As noted above, sneaky CTs may try to walk through this one, so be sure someone is keeping an eye on it as you take control of the site.
Mid Window
Next up is a smoke to block off Mid Window so your team can aggressively take control of Bridge. This one can be thrown from T spawn at the start of the round. Facing away from the map, look for this door on the right side of the parked truck. Facing the door, wedge yourself in the left side. so you're against the door and wall to its left.
Turn around and face towards the map. Look for the top of this distinctive dark brown doorframe behind the stone archway opposite you. Aim in the middle of the top of the frame. Jump and throw at the same time. You should hear a grunt from your character if you’ve successfully jump thrown.
This Anubis smoke will fly all the way over the buildings, bouncing on Bridge before blooming in front of the window at the end. Be warned, this smoke does not cover the mid doors on the right. But if you’re pushing mid, you likely want to take control of that area anyway.
(CT) Mid Bridge
Finally, we’ve got a handy CT smoke that Mid players can throw each round to block off early aggression on Bridge from Ts. From spawn, face away from the map and stand in the corner next to the broken chunk of this stone archway.
Face toward the middle of the map and look up. Aim on the top right corner of the stone doorway you’ll need to run through to reach Mid. The positioning for this one is very generous, so just get it vaguely right and let loose. You don't want to waste too much time before getting to Mid yourself. Jump and left click throw at the same time. You should hear a grunt if you’ve performed the jump throw correctly.
This CT Anubis smoke will bounce off the high roof above and land at the back end of Bridge. If you’re feeling particularly bold, this smoke will let you peek through the window down into water to catch Ts heading in that direction.
