It’s everyone’s favorite day, Friday, also known as Xur Day in Destiny 2! Well, to us anyway. If you’re new to Destiny 2, Xur is an Exotic goods vendor that appears at random locations in Destiny 2 every Friday. By finding him, you can browse for and purchase Exotic items, with Xur’s inventory updating each week.
If you find something you want to purchase, all you need to do is fork over a few Legendary Shards. Because Xur’s location changes every week, it can be a bit of a hassle to track him down, especially if you’re short on time. Fortunately, Xur likes to rotate between previous spawn locations.
Furthermore, Xur will remain at his chosen location from Friday until Tuesday, giving you plenty of time to find him if you’re unable to log in on Friday or Saturday. Where to find Xur in Destiny 2 - January 31, 2020

In Destiny 2, Xur acts as an Exotic goods vendor that spawns in at random locations every Friday. While Xur typically cycles between areas he’s previously visited, it can still be a pain to have to travel to all of these potential locations in order to find him.
Keep in mind while hunting for Xur that you won’t be able to see him until Friday at 10:00 a.m (PST), 1:00 p.m. (EST), and 6:00 p.m. (BST) or later. If you show up too early, you may miss Xur even if you’re able to correctly guess where he’s going to spawn. When Xur finally appears in Destiny 2, he’ll stay put in the same spot and will sell Exotic items to anyone with enough Legendary Shards on hand.
If there’s something you want to buy from Xur, you have until Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. (PST), 1:00 p.m. (EST), and 6:00 p.m. (BST) to shop Xur’s wares. After Tuesday, you’ll need to wait until the following Friday at the same time to find Xur again. During the week of January 31, Xur can be found in the Giant’s Scar area on IO in a cave located south of Terrabase Charon and the Warmind Vault.

Starting on January 31, Destiny 2 players can visit Xur at the location outlined above. When you find Xur, you can browse through his updated inventory of Exotics. Note that Xur’s inventory refreshes every week. Additionally, everything sold by Xur can be purchased using Legendary Shards and only Legendary Shards.
Along with Exotic armor pieces for Warlocks, Hunters, and Titans, Destiny 2 players can purchase one Exotic weapon from Xur each week as well as a Fated Engram. - Fighting Lion (Exotic Grenade Launcher) - 29 Legendary Shards

- Starfire Protocol (Exotic Warlock Chest Armor) - 23 Legendary Shards
- Peregrine Greaves (Exotic Titan Leg Armor) - 23 Legendary Shards
- Fated Engram - 97 Legendary Shards
In addition to Exotic armor pieces like the Starfire Protocol, Xur has a Fighting Lion available for purchase this week. It’s been quite some time since we’ve seen a Fighting Lion in Xur’s inventory, making this a noteworthy item for Destiny 2 players to consider purchasing. That said, if you aren’t a huge fan of grenade launchers, there’s no real reason to grab this one other than the fact that it looks really cool.
